"The Ontario College of Art & Design is Canada's largest and oldest university of art, design and liberal studies education. We designed a "cornerstone" identity for the school to play homage to its history and reputation. To reflect the school as the modern and vital place it is today, we created a series of irreverant crops of the cornerstone. We also created a bright, analogous palette of five colors (orange being the primary color), and use the exploded typography as imagery. The type is reminiscent of the pixelated cladding on the Sharp Centre for Design – a new building by British architect Will Alsop – perched above the existing school on 8-storey-high legs."
