"Plastic packaging of Gerber's products was a given. The product had to be viewable and secure. We set out to design a better plastic 'clamshell' style package that both complements and showcases the product. We took Gerber's existing 300 clamshell shapes and consolidated them into 6. The clamshell design integrated feet on the bottom that fit into notches on the top preventing scratching and scuffing during shipping."
