"Hitler's Banker was the third book jacket I designed for the famed designer Michael Ian Kaye. Michael was my book jacket design hero and I recall making a list of 'things to do' while I lived and worked in New York, with meeting Michael was at the top of my list. He is a great art director and teacher of his craft. He handed me a rather unimpressive portrait to work with and suggested I do something without resorting to the use of swastikas. For this jacket I simply wanted to make the cover and spine by hand into a collage of photocopied typesetting and accounting ledger bits, but was unsure if the whole idea was just too fictionalized. He thought it wasn't and even approved of the small apostrophy/swastika."
