"Like timetables, maps are another touchpoint of great importance to customers. We've redesigned all our maps with a goal of maximum clarity and user-friendliness. The Metro Rail system map shows the growing footprint of our rail service across the county and also features Metrolink commuter rail lines. We created a new tool we call the Connections map; the map design orients rail customers as they exit their train and help them connect to their ultimate destination, be it on another rail line, by bus or by foot. Each map presents a walkable footprint, listing connecting service but also highlighting important surface street landmarks so customers can see where they are and where they're headed."
