"Inspired by football improvisation, the goal of this vending machine was to promote the playing of football anywhere, anytime. It was placed at high-traffic urban spots, transforming the street into a pitch, and lamp posts into goal posts. The first in the world, the vending machine was a massive hit, selling more footballs in one week than two months in stores. It also received widespread media coverage and was the talk of the town."
