“This photo was used to promote a children’s clothing line. It was shot at an old hotel in Oakland, a good place for the kids and clothes to stand out from the mundane furnishings. I liked the simple graphic look of the suitcase that created a frame around the little girl. She had such a great time playing in there; she didn’t want to get out. Working with children, you never know what they’re going to do and you can’t preplan the outcome.”
