“The house where we were shooting had a lot of toys laying around, and this girl didn’t want to model, she just wanted to play with the toys. I said, ‘Give me an angry face. I know you don’t want to be here.’ And the very shy, second model reacted to her faces. When I saw her reflection, I positioned her in the frame and put a blackboard on the other side of the glass to emphasize it.”
