As part of that message, we cooked up an online documentary, four-episode installments, that followed the trials and tribulations—and ultimate triumph—of an ordinary man with an extraordinary idea. “In documentary style, we’re introduced to a small town, middle-American guynamed Kyle Boné who has a very big idea: the Anti-shirt. In Kyle’s words,it exposes the area a normal T-shirt covers and covers the area a normalT-shirt exposes, eliminating the farmer’s tan problem. A series of online films follow Kyle and his buddy Mark as they attempt to get the Anti-shirt out into the world. They visit the local bank in an effort to get a loan, however, Kyle gets kicked out for violating dress code. While the loan officer makes itclear the Anti-shirt isn’t something he himself would wear, Kyle and Markeventually get their loan. Kyle takes the next step and creates a commercial. With the help of a couple of B-actors, Kyle urges the public to visit his Web site and say ‘Anti to the Farmers Tan!’ Kyle and Mark’s efforts pay off as the Anti-shirt becomes available in many styles, including the ‘The Jock,’ ‘The Gentleman,’ ‘The Executive,’ and the goth-inspired all black leather ‘Phoenix.’ With the help of Microsoft Office Accounting Software, The Anti-shirt makes its way into trendy L.A. fashion boutiques and eventually becomes a global sensation, selling almost a half million units. But through it all, Kyle claims success hasn’t changed him a bit: At the end of the day, I’m still the same person, true-hearted and down-to-earth.”
