"This was one in a series of five images for a national campaign to build awareness of the growing viability of advertising in newspapers, both traditionally and online. This guy needed to be a consumer of information in all conceivable ways—both known and futuristic. I get a kick out of taking old stuff and using it in a way that shows it off in a hi-tech way. His backpack is an old radio tube and his monocle is made from an old clarinet key and a lens carved from my old spectacles."
