"San Francisco Rising, organized by the City of San Francisco, was a year-long commemoration marking the centennial of the 1906 Earthquake and Fire. The city-wide celebration required collateral in a wide range of media, materials and sizes to build awareness and excitement, promote sponsorship, attract tourism and increase goodwill. We built www.sfrising.org to publicize a rich calendar of events, provide links to related historical and educational resources, and make the commemoration truly international. The fog-and-phoenix logo appeared on diverse print materials ranging from press kits, invitations and programs, to newspaper ads in multiple languages, and a streetlight banner campaign that was the largest in San Francisco's history."
