"The GreenHouse, a ‘Pioneer’ status LEED building, was designed in 1995 by architect Bill McDonough with landscape architect Peter Pollack. Herman Miller helped found the U.S. Green Building Council, has many other LEED certified facilities, and has been a leader in environmental advocacy for over twenty years. Taking its lead from the rural character of West Michigan, the Design Yard is Herman Miller's ‘front door’ for visiting guests and customers. The building was designed in 1989 by Jeff Scherer of Minneapolis-based Meyer, Scherer & Rockcastle. The buildings now also house the company's executive and marketing groups.”©Lea Babcock/Bill Hebert/Peter Kiar
