"Herman Miller has had a company picnic for decades. One of Frykholm's first assignments, after being hired in 1970, was to design a poster for the event. The first one, Corn on the Cob, (designed with Philip Mitchell) was 25 x 39 inches, screen-printed in high-gloss inks—and the start of a tradition. Now collector items, several are in the Museum of Modern Art in New York. After designing twenty, Frykholm passed the assignment to graphic designers Kathy Stanton, Brian Edelfson and Andrew Dull."
