Two photographs for FileNET. "We have seen many wonderful images of the iconic Chrysler Building highlighting the deco design elements on its upper portion and its elegant spire. I was pleased to see an unconventional view that worked well with strong type treatment. A five-second exposure gave the clouds a bit of kinetic energy. The financial district of New York is the place to scout if you’re looking for revolving doors. In the location we chose, the clean stainless steel surfaces supported the type and ornate decorative details framed it. Choosing to shoot this ultra-wide angle view at night was beneficial for several reasons—no pedestrian traffic—we could lock the doors in position and we were able to light the exterior like a still life balancing outdoor light with the indoor ambient light.”
