Series for Doctors Without Borders. "Sniper: A half-second exposure blurred the motion of the pedestrians emphasizing the busy street scene and allowed the sign to sharply stand out and blurred features of the models—making releases unnecessary. With the camera in position on a tripod, we would slap the sign up to the pole with fun tack and shoot when the flow of pedestrians looked good and pulled it down whenever a police car came into view; Mined: The sheep Meadow in Central Park, New York was the perfect setting for this shot. We wanted to present an environment that was peaceful and inviting yet surrounded by urban life to imply that many people would want to gravitate there to stroll and relax; Tank: The blurred vehicles here serve the same purpose as the blurred pedestrians do in the Sniper at Work image—emphasizing the sign and portraying a busy culture. We chose this particular intersection out of many on Park Avenue because the American flag helped identify the location as the USA, an important part of the message of the campaign."
