Personal work. "People would understandably look out this opening at the pastoral setting and not notice the natural picture frame around it. I decided to include the wooden window frame to give the scene context while adding a layer of interest. The extreme contrast between the dark areas of the woodwork and the highlights in the stream was handled with overexposed film and extreme underdevelopment."
