"Since 1956, the American Institute of Architecture Students has been the official voice of students to the educational system and the profession of architecture and design. The bi-annual publication, CRIT, is the platform for that voice. Each issue presents new design challenges—the art submitted with articles all looks similar and the image quality is often poor. As the budget does not allow for custom illustrations or photography, we often turn to typography. The clever and smart design solutions are appropriate for the younger, educated and creative audience (the ‘architects’ of a majority of the content in each issue)."
