“While news reporters and politicians have drawn public attention to the energy-converting potential of corn and switchgrass, sugar cane has received less focus, despite being the most efficient converter of sunlight into food and energy among today's renewable crops,” explained creative director Craig Neuman. “This diagram, designed as part of a company brochure, helps the viewer understand that from one acre of sugar cane, Flo-Sun not only produces sugar but can also generate electricity, produce ethanol and displace CO2. The diagram is particularly compelling beyond its unique illustration style, because it employs nontraditional colors (seen throughout the rest of the brochure) for several of the symbols.”
