For six years, Hess art directed Vista, the magazine of the United Nations Association. Though the budget was limited, it was one of the most visual and attractive magazines around. With a combination of a prestige journal and almost complete artistic freedom, Hess was able to attract many of the biggest names and showcase the work of a number of young illustrators. The pages shown here were illustrated by Roger Hane, Henry Wolf, Milton Glaser and Hess.
