"We researched historical and iconographic images from the time of Indira's life in order to transmit an Indian atmosphere and used Indian art for our inspiration. We did not want to create images in an ethnic style, but wanted to respect the richness of the colors and decoration of India through our interpretation of them and chose to communicate the spirit and the soul of Indira Gandhi through the colors, landscape and natural world of India."
