"Teplitzky's is a 1960's inspired diner and coffee shop and is one of two Stephen Starr restaurants attached to the Chelsea Hotel in Atlantic City. It gets its name from the kosher hotel (owned and operated by the Teplitzky family) that once stood in the same location over 40 years ago. The hand-lettered (brushed) logotype is inspired by the neon marquees of restaurants, social clubs and bars of the 1950s and 1960s. It needed to feel effortless and casual while retaining a sense of sophistication. For the menu covers a custom typeface was created to be an anchor holding the eclectic designs together. Each menu is representative of the time of day and type of cuisine being served."
