"For GQ Italia's tenth anniversary, the magazine wanted to celebrate with a series of ten collector's edition covers, each created by one the world's top design firms. GQ editor-in-chief Michele Lupi asked us to design one of the covers and to select the remaining nine designers for the series. We conceived a design dream team that included luminaries such as Milton Glaser, Neville Brody and Louise Fili, imagining that only a few would participate. We were thrilled when everyone accepted the challenge, until we realized we'd be judged against our heroes, and the panic set in! Our solution was a dramatic typographic one, with a modern retro sensibility that may or may not have been influenced by the Italian disco playing in the studio."
