"Nashville Tennessee for the Tennessee Valley Authority. Spontaneity trumps everything, but planning gives you a place to start. I make fairly elaborate and detailed drawings before I go into any shoot. Art directors relate to drawings, and most clients, I find, like to see and be a part of the creative process. The ducks were in my drawing, so the ducks had to hit their marks, decoys were standing by if they didn't. Sure, they could be added later in post, but even in this digital creation age, I still shun that work style."
