"The artist organizers of Art The Vote had an ambitious idea to get out the vote: sponsor a series of billboards from St. Louis to Kansas City illustrating key election year issues, from oil dependency to healthcare reform. Most of the billboards would then be illustrated by well-known Missouri artists and professional designers. A smaller number of boards were reserved for artwork created by non-professionals, which would be selected by public vote in an online competition. We created the identity for the campaign, as well as buttons, brochures and ads to encourage submission of artwork by the public and participation in the online contest. Our own billboard went up in our Midtown St. Louis neighborhood."
