"Every holiday season, the St. Louis Public Library Foundation sends out a card to friends, families, and patrons. What began as a Christmas/Hanukkah card has evolved into a thank you card that now arrives around Thanksgiving, a month before the crush of other greetings can muffle the impact. The cards are hand assembled using real library book return pockets and check-out cards. The last name on the card sets up the punch line: E. Scrooge has checked out Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends & Influence People."
