"Situated at NOVIY's entry, Digital Floorboards is a twenty-foot long reactive floor projection that reflects the restaurant's unique wooden ceiling. When left untouched, it transitions gently from one gray tone to another, producing an effect similar to the diffuse reflections of a chandelier. Cast in solid concrete, the 20 interactive tables and 40-foot interactive bar exist at the center of the NOVIY experience. Conceived in conjunction with architect, Alexander Brodsky, the bar and table surfaces extend the fluid concrete designs into an active dining experience. When guests sit down to eat or drink at NOVIY, they arrive at a pristine concrete table lit from above. Over the course of the evening, virtual cracks form in the table, and eventually plants break through and flowers bloom. By the end of the night, the table is a unique artifact of the patron's activity."
