"The State of the Polar Bear is the authoritative source for the health and status of the world's polar bears. This multi-part data visualization tool provides a detailed look at each of the nineteen polar bear subpopulations, exploring the factors that have influenced their health status ratings, as defined by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Visualizations include population abundance figures, harvest rates, circumpolar pollution levels, and the shrinking of Arctic sea ice, among others. The tool was commissioned by the Polar Bear Specialist Group—a scientific collaboration of the five polar bear nations: Canada, Denmark, Norway, the US and Russia."
