"Front covers of Varoom, the journal of illustration and made images. In 2006 the Association of Illustrators asked designer/writer/publisher Adrian Shaughnessy to create and edit a new magazine for their members and newsstand sales. Shaughnessy enlisted us to establish the editorial design for the magazine and to art direct and design it, which we did for the first nine issues between 2006 and 2009. The feature headlines were all set in one of our early superbold typefaces and the Varoom logotype is an early example of our reductive geometric approach to type construction."
