"Cover illustration for the summer travel issue of Mercersburg magazine, which focused on all of the European adventures open to Mercersburg Academy students, including bike treks. I kept having to strip this image down, as I have a tendency to keep adding details and clutter things up. As the background was reduced I realized that not only could the butterflies and bike patches form a circular constellation, the background clouds could also diagonally merge into the map-like document he is holding."
