"Cover art for Andrew Sean Greer's novel The Story of a Marriage, set in San Francisco during the 1950s. I loved working on this piece, as it was set roughly in the neighborhood where I lived in the early 1980s. The Avenues seemed strangely alienated and were often muted by dense fog. At the same time, it was very atmospheric and romantic in its own way, and I remember it clearly."
