“This sequence contrasts the modern Sleepy Hollow, New York, with the town as it was during Ichabod Crane’s time. The camera moves from present-day Sleepy Hollow footage up through the cloud-line to old maps of the same area over 200 years ago, followed by a series of narrative vignettes in which the show’s popular monsters lurk in the shadows of the eerie New York landscape. To create these chilling moments, Lisa Bolan and I shot through the night in a foggy, burned forest in Banning, California.”
