“Prologue editor Nate Park cut together the deaths of every single character in the Final Destination franchise and set it to AC/DC’s ‘If You Want Blood (You've Got It).’ It occurred to us that the vast majority died by some kind of projectile ‘accident.’ Final Destination 5 was shot in stereo, so we had projectiles fly out toward the audience in 3-D as well. We found an old Mary Pickford stage to shoot at in Silverlake, California, where we could shoot upward from the basement through a plexiglass trapdoor that had to constantly be replaced after being scratched up by microwave ovens and other items we’d toss at it. We observed that the decrepit basement of that stage was a perfect location to shoot the intro of American Horror Story, which we ended up doing simultaneously. It was a lot of fun having all that scary madness going on at one time.”
