“This image for Wired magazine was created partially as an experiment with a photographer friend, Bill Wadman. A tank was filled with milky water, and I created currents under the surface using turkey basters. Blue food dye was then dropped onto the surface and allowed to move around with the currents. The photographs of this were inverted, giving it the ‘fire in space’ look.”
