“I created this piece for an article in Terra magazine titled ‘Biases and Barriers,’ which documents a pharmacist’s personal campaign to reform the way chronic pain is managed in Oregon. I return to this piece for inspiration again and again. It is simple and direct, yet conceptually strong—qualities I hope to capture in all my illustrations.”
