“This portrait of Cate Blanchett was captured for T Magazine at art dealer Jeffrey Deitch’s house in Los Angeles. I know Jeffrey from a solo show I had at his gallery years ago, and he obliged when I asked him if I could shoot her at his beautiful home. Blanchett came early to the shoot, right off a million-hour red-eye flight from wherever, and still managed to bring so much beauty, grace and personality to every photograph. If only all of my subjects were as powerful. Needless to say, she’s the bomb.”
