“This book is a very personal project. I am the writer, the designer and the typographer. The blackletter typeface used for the main text (Espinosa Nova Rotunda) is mine as well. Gabriel Martínez Meave provided illustrations, and his typeface Darka was used for the titles. Satán Salvador is a short, satiric, atheistic novel with a simple plot: the devil comes to Earth saying he is Jesus Christ, and some people believe him. The book is divided into four little chapters: Gospel, Acts, Apistles and Apocalypse. I began writing this parody of the New Testament when I was 17, and I was finally able to self-publish—and design the book exactly as I wanted—at 33.”
