“After the 2010 earthquake, countless Haitian children were surrendered to orphanages by anguished parents unable to care for them. Moved by their plight, Jim Bryson founded the Joseph School, envisioning an environment in which Haiti’s orphans could be molded into leaders and, as empowered adults, effect positive, impactful change in their country. A group from Lewis traveled to Haiti with Bryson in 2011, eager to help Jim expand his mission by creating this fundraising brochure. The Joseph School is building hope in Haiti. With this idea—and drawing on the photography gathered on our trip—we crafted an emotionally compelling, uplifting account of their story while issuing a plea to donors for support in the school’s ongoing efforts.”
