



“There are more slaves bought and sold today than at any point in human history, but few people know this fact. To activate consumers, we needed to establish a direct connection between their everyday purchases and the slavery behind the supply chains of those products. So how do you translate reams of State Department research into compelling, approachable and relevant content? We built both a website and an app around this single, provocative question: ‘How many slaves work for you?’ An animated survey of 20 questions allows visitors to input details about where they live and what they buy. The results are calculated on the fly to provide the approximate number of slaves working for you and the places in the world where your purchases are having the most negative impact.”
