Background: The purpose of the website redesign was to reflect the company’s re-alignment—bringing 6 O’Clock Gin to the forefront—while building upon the success of the site and finding new ways to connect with customers. In addition to being created for 6 O’Clock Gin’s existing customers, the site is also aimed at new users landing on the page for the first time.

Highlights: The refreshed look with some sleek animations across the homepage—a nice little nod back to its range of perfectly crafted spirits. Another key feature is the range of 3-D renders that we created to showcase the range in its new 6 O’Clock bespoke bottle. We also designed a prominent product feature area on the homepage to showcase the range of gins, giving the client flexibility to add new products in the future with options to alter colors and imagery in line with the product’s identity.

Challenges: Creating a branded website that oozed 6 O’Clock’s iconic and smooth image, while also providing flexibility for future products and limited edition items that might have their own individual identities.

Time constraints: If we were given more time on the project, we would have looked to apply the same level of detail and attention to the interactions on the homepage to other key pages. That being said, we used our resources in the most effective way to add value to the most important pages.

Technical features: The clipping mask and custom transitions between bottles on the homepage. Using 3-D software, we rendered each bottle in the exact same position and size, allowing us to then create a smooth reveal in code that perfectly matches the shape of the bottles.
