This initiative supported by Nissan celebrates zero emissions mobility—the electric vehicle revolution—and how it can be a central part of a journey to a sustainable future. The site will serve as hub directing visitors to new modules, new content and new ways of thinking. The best discussion about zero emissions is one that engages the imagination.
Conducted through a collaboration with Richard Saul Wurman, TED conference founder, it kick-starts conversations around the path to zero emissions with leading artists, architects, designers and environmentalists. Some playful, some cryptic, and all illuminating, each offers a unique perspective on the journey and acts as a reminder that there are diverse ways to start the conversation about a cleaner future.
The interface is very pure and low-fi with a “quilt” homepage that provides a modular, scalable system that feels natural to navigate and reduces all the smoke-and-mirrors of usual Flash sites to a very simple navigational mechanism that’s still very exploratory in nature.
• Development time was two months.
• The site contains four main videos, countless images, social media badges and a poster generator application that allows users to create their own unique pledges.
• Navigable in both a simple browse mode that takes visitors through the site in a linear way or via a shortcut menu that takes visitors from point A to B in one click by knocking out what's in the background to make it easy to focus on the content of the menu.
