Background: For the tenth anniversary of the made-to-measure Alta Moda fashion label, luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana asked us to design and develop a new website to broadcast three of its fashion shows—Alta Moda, Alta Gioielleria and Alta Sartoria—held over three days in early July in Sicily and serve as an archive for past and future Alta Moda events. We are incredibly honored to have collaborated on this project: this is the first time that the Italian fashion house has chosen to create a standalone, singular website instead of the microsites it used to launch for Alta Moda events in the past.
Design core: To complement the stunning Alta Moda photographs and multimedia content, we designed an editorial website with a dynamic horizontal scrolling effect as a nod to the ten-year timeline concept.
Favorite details: We chose a discreetly bold, elegant, black-and-white aesthetic to highlight Dolce & Gabbana’s incredible creations and insightful video and textual content.
Time constraints: From design to development, we created this site in just over a month. The deadlines were very tight, but a great team play and perfect synergy enabled us to realize the project within the set time.
Navigation structure: On the homepage, visitors can preview and navigate sections dedicated to the three runway shows, which we live-streamed on the platform. The website also serves as a digital archive for previous events, featuring a section that traces the evolution of ten glorious years of Alta Moda.
