Background: Ambassador is a unique Swedish premium watch brand that reflects classic lifestyle and functional fashion. The purpose of the website was to expand the brand and find new ways to connect with customers. We created the e-commerce platform that tells the story of Ambassador.

Highlights: First impressions last. We wanted users to know the standard of Ambassador from the first glance, and did so through unique preloaders, classy animations and professional photography work, which was also done by us at Roud Studio.

Favorite details: It’s all about the details—in every single render, photography, hover and animation effects. The little things add up and create a wonderful experience, which in turn, reflects the brand well. Users are looking to purchase something of value, and the design should reflect that.

Challenges: Creating a website that will stand out. It’s a heavily competitive niche, which means you have to be unique in order to succeed. It was a real challenge to combine a unique identity, great effects, fast loading speed and elegancy into a mobile-friendly format, but we managed to do it well.

Navigational structure: User experience first. We did a test before the start and saw how different people in target audiences interact with the website. The second was SEO; our link structure is optimized for targeted keywords.

Time constraints: There were no set deadline on finishing the website. Thanks to our great team of designers, photographers and developers, it didn’t take too long and the client was extremely satisfied. We have a robust structure at Roud Studio, so even if we’re pressed on time, we don’t budge on quality.

Technical features: The backend of the website was fully built with custom PHP code. For animations on the front-end, we used pure CSS transitions so it works smoothly, even on slow CPU devices. We thoroughly optimized all parts of the website to get best performance and loading speed. Also, there was a lot of work on mobile and tablet responsiveness.
