Bloomberg View is the opinion section of Bloomberg, with curated editorial commentary about current events. The new Bloomberg View site was created by Schema Design to feel as dynamic and lightweight as an app, with a responsive design that scales to any screen size, from mobile and tablet to desktop. The redesign puts the focus on the content, representing the articles in the most direct and engaging way possible. Articles and columns are shown as tiles that easily adapt to the frequently changing content, and can be filtered by contributor or topic. A single-page format gives readers an overview of the day’s topics and easy access to in-depth coverage of any story. The objective was to make all this content harmonious on the page, yet still differentiated, and to highlight the site’s contributors. “The interface simply gets out of the way,” says Schema founder and project lead Christian Marc Schmidt, “and lets you engage directly with the content.”
