Background: The site was designed to capture the personality of Boston-based real estate firm Boylston Properties and to clarify its approach to thoughtful real estate development.
Design core: From independent photographers, we sourced nonproject photography that focuses on evocative urban details. Those details, combined with a bold color palette and whimsical sketches on the team page rollovers, help to set this real estate development company apart from the pack. For fun, have a look at the 404 page and the “40 years” page accessed by the Monty Python–style airplane icon; these details all serve to capture the joy, passion and good humor that is core of the company.
Brand refresh: We created the site in tandem with an update to Boylston Properties’ brand strategy, corporate identity and print collateral, and a newly rehabbed office space. The site serves as the company’s public face, showcasing impressive properties, a unique approach and a well-rounded team of experts that don’t take themselves too seriously.
Navigation design: Specific pages linking directly from the homepage mean that the site can be continually updated to showcase information that is the most relevant and compelling.
