When you’re an established Russian vodka brand seeking to expand into the American liquor market, how do you get your website to make a splash? Marketing and technology agency DigitasLBi’s answer—get visitors to keep coming back. Titled Celebrate with Stoli, the vodka brand’s new site features a homepage that changes every day, featuring fun facts and enough cocktail and confectionary recipes to whet anyone’s appetite. Minipages explore Stoli’s history through archival photography, showcase the different flavors of Stoli—with cocktail offerings for each one—and introduce visitors to the brand’s personality. 

For the site’s content delivery network, DigitasLBi implemented Azure from Akamai, compressing scripts and stylesheets and minimizing HTTP overhead by embedding icons as SVGs within the stylesheets. The site uses the open source CMS Umbraco; the back end is written in C#. DigitasLBi built Celebrate with Stoli’s front end using JavaScript and Sass, with a simple Gulp script that processes and minifies the code.
