Background: For Céragrès, a Montréal-based manufacturer of architectural materials, the purpose of this new site was to radically modernize its digital presence, organize its extensive product catalog and create a seamless experience for its key audiences. We designed the platform to inspire everyday consumers while also meeting the high standards of architects, designer and major B2B stakeholders. With the catalog at the center of its experience, the site supports commercial growth and helps visitors transform their initial inspiration to a clearly defined project.
Design core: The site combines a premium visual identity with a strong focus on product discovery and usability. Its clean grid layout and fluid animations are inspired by the geometry of tiles and the movement of materials. Product textures, colors, sizes and technical specifications are presented in a clear, immersive way. The experience is supported by optimized navigation; intelligent filters; unified B2B and B2C project portfolios; and dynamic, indexable content designed to improve search visibility.
Favorite details: The product-page and sample-ordering experience is a particularly strong feature. Technical information is presented clearly: users can save their favorite products to a wishlist, and the selection can be shared with a showroom or converted into a sample order. The automated sample-ordering process creates a direct bridge between online discovery and the physical project, making it easier for users to validate materials and colors before moving forward.
Challenges: Building one digital ecosystem that could successfully serve two very different audiences while making a massive catalog easy to explore. The previous site was designed mainly for the general public, and it did not adequately reflect the scope of Céragrès’s commercial offerings. Therefore, the solution had to balance inspiration, technical depth, brand expression and efficient product discovery within a single coherent experience.
Navigation structure: We designed the navigation around discoverability. The inventory was structured by product type, while B2B and B2C projects were brought together within the same experience. Intelligent filters make it easier to find a specific product, texture or shade. The product journey naturally leads users from exploration to action through product details, wishlists, showroom appointments and sample orders. This structure makes a very broad offering feel intuitive, fast and manageable.
