Featured at the 2016 Paris Motor Show as an app at the Citroën stand, this website features the comprehensive history of the legacy automobile brand’s cars. Designed and developed by Paris-based interactive design studio Werkstatt and ad agency MullenLowe Paris, the site features more than 5,000 pictures and bespoke video content, enabling visitors to explore an interactive catalog from Citroën’s 1919 Type A to the 2016 third generation C3. Interactive elements—including 360-degree views and buttons that play the sounds made by each car—help bring each car to life, and product images—with some promotional materials dating back to the 1920s—immerse visitors in the brand’s history. The site’s homepage was developed with Pixi.js, enabling an optimized, fluid navigation through the extensive catalog.
Mark Goldstein’s site design for this Chicago-based performance venue shows off its true colors.
