Background: Our goal was to create a site that introduces the brand and its ethos with an easily understandable way to its target audience. Corphes grows its herbs and fruits at 1,430 meters—the highest altitude fields in Greece—and this is what differentiates it from other organic producers.

Design features: One of the core features is the cloudy ambiance that dominates the entire site and gives it a sense of high altitude along with a sense of craft, hinting at the homemade procedure the brand follows. For the Greek version of the site, we created a custom web font including all basic glyphs based on ITC’s Clearface Bold font.

Challenges: Finding a way to describe the meaning of altitude, as this is the key visual also found in the brand's identity and product packaging.

Navigation structure: Our thinking on the navigation structure was relevant to the ideas of mountaintops and altitude. We were looking to invite users to “climb” higher, looking for the highest point, while we narrate the brand’s story and its advantages.

Special features: We designed the site upwards so the user navigates in reverse. Scrolling up the page instead of down emulates the process of climbing to the top of a mountain. The sequence of the information unfolds in reverse, where the user’s starting point is “lower.” Everything but the necessary information is combined with tricky elements and details near the corresponding spot on the mountain where Corphes produces its goods—for example, the cultivation area, the altitude and so on.
