Cotton Bureau provides an online community for T-shirt designers and enthusiasts, curating a collection of graphic, user-submitted designs for T-shirts. A new site, designed and developed by Cotton Bureau’s Nathan Peretic, Jay Fanelli and Matthew Chambers, gives Cotton Bureau’s collection an immersive online experience. “Our aim with the new homepage was to create a new way to consume our T-shirts,” says Fanelli, “and give our favorite designs—and their respective designers—a moment in the spotlight. To that end, we employed full-bleed detail graphics, color theming and huge titles.” A super-navigation system, implemented with large, descriptive buttons, facilitates a simple user experience. “Cotton Bureau serves two primary audiences: T-shirt buyers and T-shirt designers,” says Fanelli. “We need our site navigation to quickly and clearly speak to those two groups and get them where they need to go.”
