American fashion brand Crosby Square experienced a recent revival of its classic shoe styles after more than forty years of being off the shelf. As the fashion brand’s first website since its relaunch, Crosby Square needed a site that showcased its shoes and its brand history. Celebrating the shoes’ timeless aesthetic, design agency Wedge & Lever created a site that hearkens to nostalgia-soaked lifestyle magazines of the ’50s and ’60s, while keeping a modern, minimalist layout to facilitates an easy e-commerce experience. A slide-in drawer provides a subtle navigation system that adds links to an online catalog, brand history and product detail pages, without detracting from the fashion photography on the main page. The website has attracted growing sales for the shoe company since its launch, both as an e-commerce platform and in brick and mortar retail environments.
