Background: This is a promotional website for the unique and customizable natural product-based nail and wax boutique Cure. The website was a part of a larger project that started with the brand identity and logo creation. The project also included packaging and interior design work. The main target audiences are women aged 16 to 45 who are living in El Paso, Texas.

Highlights: With help from Rebellion7, this website is 100 percent built from scratch—in terms of design, content and development. To create content for the website, two photo shoots were organized. In addition to the photo content, the website makes great use of typography. Many users particularly liked the handwritten component, which adds charm to the overall website experience and makes it memorable.

Challenges: Fitting into the overall timeline, because a lot of preparation work had to be made for content creation. Despite this, we—including the client—are very satisfied with the final result. There has been a lot of positive feedback from Cure customers, who first came across the website online and then decided to book an appointment. They said that the website’s aesthetics and the information presentation played a key role in their decisions to visit the salon.

Navigational structure: The navigation of the website is intuitive and easy to use. We also decided to use a sticky header so that the main sections, such as Menus, About & Careers and Contact Us are always visible. In addition to this, the “Book an appointment” CTA is very prominent. Users can schedule an appointment from every page—that’s very important. The Menu section is the most informative section as it is split into three categories; thus, reflecting the directions of the brand's services.

Technical features: The main technology used to build the website is Nuxt.js. As for the backend, we predominantly used Node.js by means of using a cloud-based CMS called Contentful. Another thing to mention is the GSAP animation engine. As a result, the website received a very high mobile score as well as a development award.
